Maps of stellar densities of COROT fields


These maps are based on observations with the INT-WFC in La Palma,
2002-4.  All are in .png (portable network graphics) format,
which should be readable by any current web-browser.

The naming scheme is as follows:

field_version[_dw]_rle16.eps.png  
are maps of stellar distribution for r < 16 mag.

field_version[_dw]_dens.eps.png  
are maps stellar densities, also for  r < 16 mag.


If _dw appears in the name, they are maps of the Dwarf (CL V )
population (also r<16), that has been extracted by employing
spatially resolved HR diagrams.

The axes are right ascencion and declination in decimal degrees.
Note that the apparent size of the maps is similar, but they vary in scale!

The contour levels (as indicated in image title, in units of stars per
square degree) and colors are the same in all maps. 

As orientation (units are star/deg2):
<100 or outside of catalog: White
100 - 1000  Black
5000-7500  Orange
> 10000  white again
