List of references to specific inversion codes
This list is not expected to be comprehensive. It contains a few representative ICs prepared for the students of the summer school on solar polarization held in Yibin, China, July 2011
- There is this link to the HAO Community Spectro-polarimetric Analysis Center, which contains 3 downloable inversion codes. Two Milne-Eddington ( MERLIN and HMI VFISV), and one 1D LOS code (LILIA).
- If you want to use the MISMA inversion code described in my paper 1997ApJ...491..993S, just send me an email. It runs on IDL.
- @ HINODE Europe, this webpage contains a set retrievable inversion codes, including the classical SIR by del Toro Iniesta & Ruiz Cobo (1992ApJ...398..375R)
- If you where interested in the PCA inversion code described in this THEMIS webpage, I recommend to contact the authors directly.
- This other page contains codes and references as worked out by Asensio Ramos. The two distinct characteristics are (1) Hanle effect induced polarization is included in one of the codes, and (2) It provides machinery for computing error using a Bayessian approach.
- I maintain an ADS private library Sun:Inversion Codes with papers on the inversion issue. Again, do not expect it to be comprehensive.
