DESCRIPTION:Transitioning from Science to Industry - Hurdles, Pros and Cons
 \nDr. Karsten Berger\n\nAfter a scientific career spanning over 10 years, 
 in November 2014, I finally decided to leave scientific work behind a
 nd join a company. In this talk, I will describe the difficulties suc
 h a transition encompasses and focus on the knowledge I was able to&n
 bsp;transfer as well as the kind of skills I am now able to use in the&nbs
 p;company. I will also briefly discuss additional qualifications I ob
 tained before moving to company work. Finally, I will introduce a col
 laboration between the company I currently work for "EFS GmbH" and th
 e local university "Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt".
