SUMMARY:Software development for the analysis of meteor and asteroid data
DESCRIPTION:Software development for the analysis of meteor and asteroid da
ta\nFrantisek Duris\n\nIn this talk, I will briefly introduce Slovak instr
ument AMOS - all-sky meteor orbit system. We designed and developed a GUI
tool for calculating and visualizing trajectories of meteors in Earth's
atmosphere and Solar system from multiple-station observations. The curr
ent version of the program includes calculation of 1) atmospheric traject
ory and velocity, 2) Solar system trajectory, 3) photometric mass, 4) dar
k flight and impact, 5) Monte Carlo simulation of errors. The program is
written in Lazarus/Object Pascal and can be run under Windows as well as
Linux systems. Numerical simulations and graphical outputs are produced i
n R. In the second part of the talk, I will discuss the python-based phot
ometry pipeline by Mommert (2017) for reducing 4-colour MuSCAT2 images. W
e implemented several modifications to significantly increase the number
of successfully reduced images. I will discuss how the modifications comb
ine data through colors as well as time to obtain more results.
