Key Extragalactic Programmes
High redshift galaxies
- H? & Pa? shift into the mid-IR at high redshifts.
- At z=5, H? ? 3.9?m, Pa? ?11.3 ?m.
- Line ratios (e.g.: H?/H? & Pa?/H?) are excellent tracers of extinction within a galaxy.
?Observations must be combined between OSIRIS, EMIR & Canari-Cam if we are to study the evolution of galaxies over the widest range of redshift.
