6. FUTURE DEVELOPMENT (I)
- Main future work: correlation of the USNO-A2.0 and 2MASS catalogues:
- USNO-A2.0 (Visible): 600 million ?s, highly accurate astrometry but poor photometry (error ?15%) [V,R,I], (Vlím?20).
? 2MASS (Near IR): 160 million ?s, fairly accurate photometry (error ? 3%) in J(+16), H(+16) y K(+13).
Sample of faint ?s, with good astrometry and photometry in VRIJH y K ? we have colour and luminosity class criteria which let us to identify potential AV (and KIII?) to V?15.
At present, we still have sky zones with a low spatial density and a very small number of stars with magnitudes close to the GTC limit.
