Description Collection of tasks, scripts and libraries, specifically designed to reduce and analyze data collected by the XMM-Newton observatory.
Version installed Ubuntu 22.04: SAS v21.0 (installed in June 2023).
Usage At the command prompt, first launch the HEAsoft package with the command:
headas  or  xheadas

Then run:
source /opt/SAS/xmmsas/setsas.sh
Upgrade Notes Changes and improvements are described in the SAS Release Notes.
