DAGAL Image Gallery - NGC 4725

NGC4725
About this image: Unlike most spiral galaxies which have at least two arms, the spectacular NGC 4725 seems to have only one. Located roughly 40 million light-years away, its bright nucleus is partly powered by an active supermassive black hole.

The images on this page were produced by the DAGAL network, and can be used free of charge provided acknowledgement is given to "DAGAL, Nik Szymanek, SDSS, and S4G, www.dagalnetwork.eu".
