Presentation of the exhibition "FEDER, looking at the sky"

The itinerant exhibition “FEDER, looking at the sky” brings to the public all the projects of Astrophysics in the Canary Islands which have been funded via the European Fund of Regional Development (FEDER). From Monday 30th April until 10th May people can visit, without charge, the exhibition which makes a visual presentation of the projects of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) which have been financed with these funds, notably the Gran Telescopio Canarias (GTC).

The president of the Cabildo de La Palma, Anselmo Pestana, the Minister of Finance, Rosa Dávila, the Minister of Territorial Policy, Sustainability and Security, Nieves Lady Barreto, the general deputy director of management of the FEDER of the Ministry of Finance and Public Function, Anatolio Alonso Pardo, and the director of the GTC, Romano Corradi, will participate in the event. 

The European Fund for Regional Development (FEDER) is an financial instrument of the European Commission whose purpose is to strengthen the economic and social cohesion in the European Union correcting the imbalances among its regions. 

The exhibition is also supported by the Cabildo of La Palma and the Severo Ochoa Programme of Excellence.
