MISMA (Micro-Structured Magnetic Atmosphere)
MISMA is officially an acronym used in astronomy!
The MISMA hypothesis (originally in this paper) points out that the asymmetries of the line profiles come from optically thin structures (Micro-Structure). Those asymmetries are present in any solar photospheric structure, so do the micro-structure.
I carried out a systematic characterization of the micro-structures found in varios solar magnetic features.
