The Tenerife Microwave Spectrometer (TMS)
TMS is a microwave spectrometer carried out at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (Tenerife, Spain), and that will operate from the Teide Observatory. The TMS frequency bands will be 250MHz wide, covering the complete 10-20GHz range with one receiver chain and Fourier spectral filter bank. The instrument will provide key information on the viability of ground-based absolute spectral measurements in this frequency band, and will serve as a proof of a new concept of FTS based on the technology of Instantaneous Frequency Measurement (IFM) receivers.
