3.4. ms2ascii

Function: Converts a multispec format 2D image spectra to an ASCII text spectra. Syntax: ms2ascii msimage asciiname Parameters:

• msimage: Name (without extension ``.ms'') of the input 2D image in the multispec format.
• asciiname: Root name of the output files with the ASCII text spectra.

• invert (=no): Root name of the output files with the ASCII text spectra.

Description: With this task is possible convert (see help of wspectext task) a multispec format 2D image to ASCII text spectra.

All output files (ASCII text spectra) are called by the root name followed by _ symbol and the number corresponding to the fiber. This number must correspond to the aperture. If you have extracted the apertures with the parameter order=decreasing in the case of bundles SB1 and SB3, you have to put invert = yes. And invert = no in the case of SB2 (for which the parameter order=increasing).
