UNDARK Meetings

In this page we will update any information regarding UNDARK Scientific Meetings, including:

  • Kick-off meeting.
  • UNDARK Scientific Schools: At the beginning of each year of the action a Scientific School will be organized by one of the expert partners CNRS-LAPTh, IFAE, and WIS, with a focus on their respective area of expertise. Each school is designed to span 1 week and host approximately 5-10 lecturers and 30 students. No fees will be charged to the students participating in the school. The organization of the schools will be overseen by the SC and ESAC. Lectures will be made publicly accessible through webcasting, and the presentation slides will be provided on the project’s website.
  • UNDARK CERN-TH Institutes: In the middle of each year of the action CERN will organize a CERN-TH Institute aligning with the same area of expertise as the preceding Scientific School. Each will span 1 week and host approximately 20 participants. The program will be decided by CERN with the assistance of the SC and ESAC. The focus of these meetings is on encouraging discussions, strategizing and fostering collaborations among UNDARK’s partners and beyond. These interactions will be facilitated by 2 seminars per day given by participants. Lectures will be publicly available via webcast, and recordings will be shared on CERN's and the project's websites.
  • UNDARK Specialized Workshops: At the end of each year of the action, the IAC will organize one specialized workshop focused on the research area of the preceding CERN-TH institute and Scientific School of that year. Each workshop will span 1 week and will aim to draw 60 world-class participants. The program will be collaboratively coordinated by the SC and the ESAC. No participation fees will be charged on other attendees. Workshop materials such as the slides and recordings of the talks will be made publicly accessible through the project’s website.
  • UNDARK Seminar Series:   Approximately monthly in-person seminars at the IAC on state-of-the-art topics on theoretical astroparticle physics and cosmology, and specifically focused on dark matter.
  • UNDARK Workshop Series on Horizon Europe Proposal Elaboration: A series of Specific Workshops will be organized by Saturntech at the IAC to prepare the researchers of IAC for submitting proposals for different HE schemes. More specifically, this includes the European Research Grants (ERC – Starting, Advanced, Consolidator and Synergy), Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (Postdoctoral Fellowships, Staff Exchange) and Research and Innovation Actions. These workshops will be in-person at the IAC and streamed online, will have a duration of 1 day and will be open to the researchers from the partners.
