The financing request is sent to the FEDER-CICYT program for development in type I regions, having elaborated a project of clear and full development, with concrete objetives, viable plan of work and reasoned budget case by case.

Visit of Joachim Frank, maximun person in charge of the German Frank Audiodata Company, dedicated exclusively to the manufacture of products for blind people.

We presented the project to a numerous young blind people group in the occasion of a regional meeting organized bye the ONCE. There was an enormous interest among them, many of wich offered themselves as collaborating volunteers.

Several members or the project visited the "ICAD/ASA/EAA '99 Workshop on auditory display", where the international scientific community that dedicates upon presentment of information by acoustic via meets. We taked an exact idea of the other groups's situation and important contacts settled down.
1 June 1999
Jordi Vitrià, Centre de Visiò per Computador from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona investigator, visited us. The bases for future collaborations and investigation contracts in artificial vision subjects were settled down.

The project is presented at the IWANN, a signal processing in neuronal networks congress, at Alicante, Spain.

The financing coming from the FEDER-CICYT call is received, by value of 120 millions of pesetas ($715,450 aprox.), wich will allow to approach the second stage of our project, together with contributed by institutions and the participant companies. It suposes a project of more than 300 million of pesetas ($1,788,612 aprox.).
