European Organization for Nuclear Research
The CERN laboratory is the pivot point for particle physics in Europe. Hosting the world’s largest particle collider, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), as well as many smaller scale experiments, CERN serves as a hub for thousands of physicists who visit the laboratory every year as part of large experimental collaborations or international conferences. The UNDARK node at CERN will be coordinated by CERN’s Department of Theoretical Physics (CERN-TH), which is one of the world’s largest research groups in theoretical particle physics. The researchers at CERN-TH are globally recognized experts in various aspects of dark matter research, but also in other significant topics of the field, such as the early universe, neutrino physics, structure formation and gravitational waves.
