Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias

The  IAC  manages the most advanced EU astronomical observatories in the northern hemisphere, the Teide Observatory and the Roque de los Muchachos Observatory , which host a collection of world-leading telescopes. Additionally, it houses several research groups with extensive expertise in astronomy, astrophysics and cosmology. The action is coordinated through the astroparticle theory group  (AP-th) and incorporates researchers from the experimental particle astrophysics group (AP-ex). From cosmology, it includes researchers from the observational cosmic microwave backround group (CMB) and the large scale structure group  (LSS). And in astrophysics, the consortium includes members from the observational extragalactic (ExGal) and Milky Way (MW) groups, the numerical astrophysics (Astro-th) group, the relativistic and theoretical astrophysics (AstroRel) group, the Astereosimology group  (Stel) and the Observational Supernovae group (SNe).
